Don't we all wish we had a 120-acre weekend retreat. This one is in Madison, Georgia and was featured in Traditional Home Magazine. I love the high ceilings!!

What a beautiful "retreat"! Happy Spring!
When you've finished with your garage cleanup, I wondered if you might find the time to write a short "memory" of your weekend retreat to the coast. Did you stay overnight, did you see any whales, did you pack a picnic lunch, did you do a lot of walking and sightseeing...I would love to hear about it. Any pictures?
Sabina...The photos of this Georgia retreat are lovely. I especially like the painted floor in the foyer. I hope Traditional Home Magazine manages to stay afloat. Best, Rosemary
At first I thought this was YOUR home (this is my first time visiting) and I found myself getting rather envious and in awe of...and even thinking, "Wow I don't know if I will like this blog?" "Her house is so grand and fantastic and gorgeous." I was almost relieved to see that it was not yours, but a home far away, featured in some magazine. But of course it is someone's home, and why was I judging and thinking less of myself? There will always be someone that has something better or bigger but it doesn't matter. Blogs are not to create envy but to share and invite one another in. I am ashamed for letting that thought in for even a moment. Shame on me. Now...I can't wait to read your other posts and see what you have to share...

Hi Carrie,
Thanks so much for your comment. I love when someone says something that open and honest!! I actually wondered if it might come off that way when I posted it (ha) but I figured my readers would know better. It is actually a little bit grand for my taste, but with vacation plans nearing - the idea of such a roomy retreat, with my family of 7, sounded pretty good to me. Thanks again for stopping by and for saying what was really on your mind!! I got such a kick out of it.
:)
Hi Sabina, delighted to see you got into the Irish spirit for Paddy's Day, the little pins were so cute, and good on your for giving it your own twist. The recipe looked interesting. In Ireland the traditional dinner is Bacon, cabbage and potatoes (but I dont eat meat, just fish, so we have interesting dinners, I have even been known to make green pancakes).Hope the garage clean up went well. hugs Margie.
I'm so glad I found your blog. What inspiring photos, gosh what a beautiful place and I felt like I had magically spent some time there through the photos! Catherine and my Bumpkin Bears
