When the trees their summer splendor
Change to raiment red and gold,
When the summer moon turns yellow,
And the nights are getting cold;
When the squirrels hide their acorns,
And the woodchucks disappear;
Then we know that it is Autumn,
Loveliest season of the year.

Lovely pictures! I love the colours of autumn.
Still hot here, but we're getting "touches of the fall elements" every few days or so. The leaves are falling and I love to lie on the loveseat outside and watch them drift down and over me. Lovely images.

I am escatic as Autumn is my favorite season. I can still happily garden away, turn the oven on an bake up some delicious pies and wear cozy sweaters!! Just perfect. love your post , it added a lot of cheer to my morning.

I LOVE this time of year!
I couldn't wait for the weather to cool off, I love autumn and one thing I miss about not living in NY anymore are the beautiful fall leaves...I was happy to make black bean chili Sunday night because of the brisk air...
Beautiful poem and pictures. Autumn is a season that I'm starting to adore.
The trees here are really blowing me away. It think I'm surprised every year by the amount of color given it's the Evergreen state.
