Ordinary Girl ~

.

.
"All I want to be is an ordinary girl, one who is seen, one who is known, one who matters. In this country we pretend that everyone wants fame and celebrity. Maybe the craving for ordinariness, ordinary tenderness and ordinary destiny-- is the deepest hunger of all."

awww what a cute lil baby. I wonder if every celebrity dreams of being ordinary?

That is such an inspiring quote. I was thinking about this just today, that extraordinary people humbly accept the fact that they have a charge to do amazing things instead of seeking out fame and fortune and recognition.

A wonderful thing to think about and aspire to ... contentment.

I love those words Sabina, and I think they are very true. I think we all just want to be accepted and loved. I think we want to matter, and to somehow make the world a better place for having been here. Just in our own small way. And wouldn't it be nice to be remembered fondly once we're gone. Now that would be a life worth lived.

I love this! I was also wondering if your previous post on women ending global poverty could be the second post for my new blog I am starting up for World Peace day:
http://a-peace-train.blogspot.com/

Let me know and if you want more details on it. Thanks!!

Yay! I added your post to the Peace Train blog with a link to the post and also I am putting links to all the posts permanently on the sidebar.. so I guess that is good advertising for you too if this train takes off! Thank you and if you want to blog or tweet about it that would be awesome!
