It is meant to be! A very happy day indeed. This is the a time in our nation's history that we can feel so much hope among so much turmoil with the economy and in the world. Obama has garnered the support - minds and hearts - he needs to help enact changes for the better ... for us all.

Sabina, your photos are fantastic. Yes you did it. I cant but be moved. The world witnessed a very special event and Mr. Obama is world class, inspirational for those of us who work in the area of social justice and human rights. I feel such hope for the world. I know the road ahead wont be easy but with such an amazing leader and such dedicated supporters success will be achieved. Well done. Hugs Margie
Sabina, thanks to you, I've visited the Obama Blog just now and posted this post:
"I am not a day late or a dollar short" By Cynthia from Bensalem, PA 6 seconds ago (Updated 6 seconds ago) I donated today money to help with your campaign efforts - it is a day after the historic election. But I feel compelled to give. Because I've been inspired by the way Obama has inspired others to do more. Thank you - and congratulations!
___ And thank you, again, Sabina. You inspire me, too!
Oh, pooh - I just heard on the news today that the Obama campaign now has EXTRA money that they have to give back to people OR give to a charity (which I hope they do that latter) or keep for future campaigns (I think that was the third option I heard them say). Well, I'm going to keep thinking it's a good thing, no matter what. Pay it forward!
I love your election night photos Sabina! It gives me chills all over again! Was that the most amazing victory speech you've ever heard or WHAT! It still brings tears to my eyes.

♥ ♥ Thank you so much for stopping by and visiting -- barefoot in the orchard ♥ ♥
One of my favorite memories was walking barefoot in our apricot orchard. That was years ago, and it's still one of the first things that comes to mind when searching my life's memories.
It is unbearable for me to think about my beautiful orchard and the many others that surrounded it now only exist in my memory -- long ago replaced by houses. I prefer to keep those images in my mind as if it were only yesterday...
It's a beautiful summer morning, I'm 12 years old, outside my cat Peewee (a big yellow tabby with a bobbed tail) greets me. I head straight out into the orchard. The branches overhead hang low and heavy -- and the sweet smell of apricots fill the air. Running faster and farther with each step -- the seemingly never-ending rows of trees stretch out before me. I can feel the warm sun on my face and the cool feel of the dirt under my feet. ~

Rosa Parks sat in 1955. Martin Luther King walked in 1963. Barack Obama ran in 2008.
Dreams are still alive and hope has returned to renew our strength.
Overjoyed as well. I might get myself one of those flags at last.
